I.V. therapy made a little easier

Welcome to Veletri.com—the first and only I.V. therapy of its kind that can be used for up to 24 hours without the need for ice packs or cooling pouches. If concentrations lower than 15,000 ng/mL are chosen, pump reservoirs should be changed every 12 hours when administered at room temperature.

Discover the difference with Veletri:

  • Includes the same active pharmaceutical ingredient as Flolan® (epoprostenol sodium), which has been the gold standard in the treatment of pulmonary hypertension
  • Flexible reconstitution (dissolving) options
    • Reconstitute and further dilute with either of 2 readily available solutions including sterile water or sodium chloride solution

Living with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) isn't easy. Veletri is an intravenous (I.V.) medication designed to help make therapy a little easier.

Flolan is a registered trademark of GlaxoSmithKline.

Veletri is indicated for the long-term intravenous treatment of primary pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary hypertension associated with the scleroderma spectrum of disease in NYHA Class III and Class IV patients who do not respond adequately to conventional therapy.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Patients with congestive heart failure due to severe left heart disease should not use Veletri. Veletri should not be used in patients who develop excess fluid in the lungs (pulmonary edema) when beginning therapy. Veletri should not be used by patients who are allergic to epoprostenol. Veletri should only be used with Sterile Water for Injection, USP, or Sodium Chloride 0.9% Injection, USP. Do not mix Veletri with any other intravenous medications or solutions. Do not freeze Veletri. Patients taking epoprostenol for the first time are usually in a hospital or clinic setting so they can be monitored for any serious side effects. Patients’ blood pressure and heart rate may also need to be monitored if their dose changes and they are receiving a new dose for the first time. Patients taking Veletri may be prescribed a medication used to prevent blood clots. Use of these types of medications may increase the risk of bleeding. Do not stop using Veletri without first talking to your doctor. Sudden large increases or decreases in dose may result in unstable blood pressure or low blood pressure that could lead to death. Pulmonary hypertension symptoms may return if you stop using Veletri suddenly. To reduce the risk of infection, it is important to know how to properly care for the catheter and infusion pump. Veletri can cause side effects such as flushing, jaw pain, headache, low blood pressure, fast heartbeat, nausea, vomiting, flu-like symptoms, anxiety/nervousness and diarrhea. Always inform your doctor about any side effects you experience with your Veletri therapy. Your healthcare team is the best source of information for any questions or concerns you may have about your therapy or your condition.
